Client Acknowledgement and Consent
Waxing and skincare services may cause sensitivity or adverse skin reactions in certain individuals. Medications such as Accutane, Retin-A, Retinol, antibiotics, exfoliating acids, and other topical or prescription treatments may increase skin sensitivity and the risk of skin lifting, irritation, or scarring during waxing procedures.
Waxing over sunburned, irritated, highly sensitive, or excessively tanned skin may result in skin damage or scarring. Certain medical conditions, including diabetes, may affect the body’s healing process. Allergic reactions to waxing or skincare ingredients may also occur.
By receiving services at Velora Brazilian Wax, you confirm, to the best of your knowledge, that the information you provide is accurate and complete. You acknowledge that you have not withheld any relevant medical or skin-related information that could affect your treatment or results.
You understand that waxing and skincare services involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: redness, irritation, swelling, bruising, allergic reactions, skin lifting, burns, infection, ingrown hairs, discoloration, scarring, or other adverse reactions.
You also understand that results vary based on individual factors such as skin type, medications, hormones, lifestyle, and aftercare. You agree to follow all aftercare instructions provided by Velora Brazilian Wax to minimize the risk of complications.
Medical Conditions and Contraindications
You agree to inform us prior to your appointment if you:
Are pregnant
Are diabetic
Have sensitive skin or are prone to keloids
Are using prescription or topical medications
Are taking Accutane, Retin-A, Retinol, antibiotics, or exfoliating products
Have recently undergone chemical peels, laser treatments, microneedling, or similar procedures
Have sunburn, irritation, open wounds, rashes, infections, or skin conditions in the treatment area
Velora Brazilian Wax reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or modify services if we determine that proceeding may not be safe due to skin conditions, medications, medical concerns, or other contraindications.
Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability
By receiving services at Velora Brazilian Wax, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with waxing and skincare treatments.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to release and hold harmless Velora Brazilian Wax, its owners, employees, independent contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, expenses, or losses arising from or related to the services provided, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Appointments, Deposits, and Cancellations
Appointments are reserved specifically for you. Certain services, promotions, holidays, or peak appointment times may require a deposit to secure your reservation.
By booking an appointment, you agree to comply with our Deposit, Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Late Arrival Policies, which are incorporated into these Terms of Service by reference.
Payments and Refunds
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless otherwise stated.
All services are final sale. Due to the nature of personal care services, refunds are not provided for completed services. If you have concerns regarding your appointment, please contact the location where your service was performed within a reasonable timeframe so we may review the situation and determine an appropriate resolution when applicable.
Client Conduct
Velora Brazilian Wax is committed to maintaining a professional, clean, safe, and respectful environment for both clients and staff.
Harassment, inappropriate behavior, sexual comments, discrimination, threats, intoxication, or disrespectful conduct toward employees or other clients will not be tolerated and may result in immediate refusal of service and permanent booking restrictions.
Photography and Marketing (Optional)
With your consent, we may occasionally photograph treated areas for educational, documentation, training, or marketing purposes. Your identity will never be disclosed without your written authorization.
You may opt out of photography at any time by informing us before your service begins.
Changes to These Terms
Velora Brazilian Wax reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Updated versions will be posted with a revised effective date.
Continued use of our services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms of Service.
